I
grew
up
in a
small
suburb
of
Chicago,
called
Lisle.
I
took
my
first
restaurant
job
during
high
school,
working
my
way
up
through
various
positions.
Not
being
sure
if I
wanted
a
career
in
the
restaurant
industry,
I
decided
to
attend
Eastern
Illinois
University
in
Charleston
and
majored
in
education.
I
missed
the
foodie
atmosphere
and
applied
for
a
job
at
firefly,
where
I
worked
part-time
as a
host,
then
a
server,
and
eventually
assumed
the
full-time
position
of
floor
manager
after
graduating
EIU.
Over
the
years
I
assumed
greater
responsibilities
and
became
totally
committed
to
the
philosophies
and
ideals
behind
the
firefly.
In
January
2010
I
became
General
Manager
where
I am
responsible
for
the
day
to
day
operations
of
the
firefly.
Last
October,
I
married
Brad
Goers,
and
we
live
in
Effingham
IL.
I
joined
YB
Next
for
the
social
and
community
connections
and
the
networking
opportunities.
I
enjoy
meeting
other
area
business
people
and
really
find
valuable
the
ability
to
talk
shop
and
compare
notes
with
other
young
professionals.
I'm
honored
to
be
chosen
as
the
January
YBNext
Member
of
the
Month!
